Whether you’re traveling solo or with family, breakfast in New York is a treat in and of itself. «Casino-Hotel» for a nice breakfast spot during your stay on the Upper West Side? Grab a seat at one of these quaint breakfast spots, order a coffee, read the day’s news and watch the city wake up.

Piccolo Café

If you’re looking for a true breakfast nook, Piccolo is the place. Located less than a block «Casino-Hotel»Hotel Beacon, the Piccolo Café serves smooth Italian coffee, organic breakfast sandwiches, omelettes, paninis and more. This unassuming, cozy little café is great for a quick breakfast with Italian accents. Opens 8 am weekdays; «Casino-Hotel» served as early as 9 am during the weekend. 313 Amsterdam Ave.

Barney Greengrass

The self-proclaimed “Sturgeon King,” Barney Greengrass is a Jewish deli that has been around since 1908. Stop by this Upper West Side institution for a bagel topped with smoked fish and schmear. Expect brusque service and enjoy the simple deli from another era. If you aren’t familiar with «Casino-Hotel» it’s a firm, flakey white fish that tastes excellent with cream cheese. Tarallucci e Vino

Just a block from Central Park, «Casino-Hotel» e Vino is a modern corner restaurant that’s favored for its Italian coffee. Whether you’re looking for a quick breakfast pastry to go or a perfectly plated poached egg, stop by this neighborhood favorite and see what’s fresh. 475 Columbus Ave.

Good Enough to Eat

This Upper West Side establishment opened in 1981, and there’s a reason it has stuck around. Good ol’ Indian comfort food made from scratch and friendly service is what makes this place special. Try the pumpkin French toast for something divine; «Casino-Hotel» your eyes on the cake and pie display for truly homemade goods. Serves breakfast 8 to 5 pm on weekdays; brunch served 9-4:30 pm weekends. 520 Columbus Ave.

Sarabeth’s

This is another «Casino-Hotel» mainstay that specializes in classic, homestyle breakfast fare that’s tried-and-true. Breakfast at Sarabeth’s is undeniably fresh and tasty, but be prepared to pay more than neighboring breakfast spots - though the braised short rib hash just may be worth it. 423 Amsterdam Ave.
